Success Story Katherine Girouard
Katherine Girouard’s FIMA Story:
“I had a great conference experience! There was a lot to learn from the speakers – and it was empowering to hear women in data share their knowledge and showcase their competencies. I’m so glad I got to attend!”
Katherine’s Story At A Glance
First Year Attended: 2016
How She’s Participated: Attendee
This was our first time attending the conference…and it was an informative experience overall!
My company, The Hartford, has attended other related events run by WBR but this was my first time attending FIMA. The feedback from my colleagues was to prepare to take stacks of notes from knowledgeable speakers and to brainstorm with the best in the industry.
The experience at FIMA exceeded the already high expectations we had – the speakers shared some great insights, the conversations were more like informal brainstorming sessions and I came back with a bunch of ideas to share with my team!
It was empowering to see other women showcase their knowledge and skills in financial data management
The one session I was really looking forward to was the Women in Data Networking Breakfast. To me, it was truly empowering to see all these knowledgeable women get together and share ideas, experiences and industry knowledge. It was an opportunity to connect and make friendships beyond just business connections…and I haven’t been shy in reaching out to people I met at the event!
FIMA is worth your time and investment!
Yes, I would definitely recommend FIMA to anyone looking to gain some real insights in the industry. I’m relatively new to data management so for me this was a three-day boot camp on all things driving the industry , run by people in the know. It was a great first-time experience!
